Together with our partner Trend Micro, the world’s leading provider of cyber security, we held a two-day security workshop at our office in Hanover. The aim of the workshop was to further deepen our existing cybersecurity knowledge and gain practical experience with the holistic Trend Micro cybersecurity platform to continue to provide our customers with reliable support regarding their cloud security.
On day one, Robert Wortmann (Principal Security Strategist – DACH, Trend Micro) gave us an insight into the current security challenges and the constantly changing threat scenarios. In the subsequent discussion, the focus was primarily on effective protection measures and their useful and efficient application.
Therefore, on day two we focused on practice and valuable hands-on experience. Our consultants took part in a capture-the-flag challenge, which was led by Markus Winkler (Solution Architect Cloud – EMEA) and Patrick Maul (Technical Partner Manager – DACH) from Trend Micro. This practical challenge offered the perfect opportunity to refresh existing know-how on cloud security and explore innovations in the CNAPP area.
The valuable personal exchange with Trend Micro showed once again how important it is to integrate security into the architecture and design of IT landscapes right from the start. It is crucial for us to provide our customers with secure AWS environments, as security is one of the central components of our strategy for business continuity.
